Electronic Signature and Its Role in Securing Transactions in the Tourism Sector

Abstract

Due to the ever-increasing use of the Internet for the majority of functions and functions as they provide, the digital shift has become an important and effective step for stimulating the tourism sector and building a rigorous information system. Technological development has resulted in the importance of providing the necessary protection for electronic transactions through the so-called electronic signature. Accordingly, the search aims to highlight the application of electronic signature in Egyptian tourism companies, highlighting the experiences of some foreign and Arab States, such as the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, in applying tourist electronic signature. The research also relied on the analytical descriptive curriculum, and the distribution of survey forms to 30 corporate directors, legal advisers and information technology department managers of Egyptian tourism companies. Survey forms have also been distributed to 20 officials of the Information Technology Industry Development Authority in Egypt. In addition to distributing survey forms to 100 tourists of different nationalities. The study found that a special law on the regulation of cyber-transport transactions should be passed along with technological development, as well as tourists awareness of a transactional and electronic contract law such as the electronic signature law.law.
