Abstract

The study provides an introduction to the phenomenon of climate change, its causes, and its effects on the constituents of tourist attractions in Egypt and on the tourists' decision to travel, the length of stay, and the different types of tourism. Then the extent of international and regional interest in the phenomenon, as well as the role of Egypt and the situation Egypt has reached in dealing with this phenomenon, and the role of institutions concerned with the phenomenon of climate change in Egypt, The study relied on personal interviews as a tool for the field study, where the Delphi approach in conducting these interviews was followed and it was carried out in two phases that were applied to a targeted sample of 20 experts specialized in the field of environment and climate change in Egypt. During the study, it was proven that climate change has a negative impact on the components of tourist attractions in Egypt, and it was also confirmed that the efforts undertaken by the relevant official institutions in Egypt are considered insufficient to reduce the negative effects of climate change on tourism activity in Egypt. The study ended to reveal some of the deficiencies related to the interaction of institutions Concerned with this phenomenon in Egypt, with the presentation of some proposals that would improve the image of dealing with the effects of this phenomenon.
